It is finally here… CMI Records (Cash Mattock Inc) debut release of SlurbLown album, “39 Minutes and 30 Seconds Closer”. Can I get a “Daaaaaaammmmm!!!!!” and a “Hell Yea!!!” for this artistic masterpiece in the saga of Matty Sonar. We will be having a CD release party at, were else, The Bug Jar on the 26th on July. First music video from SlurbLown's new album!
We are happy to announce the beginnings of our channel on YouTube! Feast your eyes on SlurbLown's music video for his first single “What Is Is” from his debut release on CMI Records(Cash Mattock Inc). His album is due to be out Spring 07’. This video was directed by Floyd Aragon and by, the SlurbLown man himself, Matty Sonar. This video was originally released with live audio but we loved the raw underground vibe so much we edited it to fit the studio produced track. It's a bit saucy in parts but if you don't get the humor we don't know what to tell ya. This gave us a chance to get our feet wet with our new video production department. Matty Sonar, A.K.A. SLurblown, is at it again. O.K.-WOW! No More…
We wish we could stop him to question his ideas but to do so would be as successful as swimming with lead shoes. You could also say that his album has taken a detour into deeper waters. We’ve suffered small delays with the final tweaking of the now dubbed the “SLurblown project”. First his attention to detail and his thirst for originality took a turn to the bazaar. Now, the music has been pushed so far that it's come full circle into something that could be called commercial. Only because it seams to sound from a level of familiar that feels hardwired but at the same time completely foreign.
“Hey Man I don’t know what to say,” Cash said. “All that I know is that I never heard anything quite like it.”
Matty Sonar has also come full circle with his stage persona. “Slurblown” WILL be the official name of his project…. or until he changes his mind again.

El Destructo Ltd CD release party!!!!!
Finally another release from CMI (Cash Mattock Inc) completed. The long awaited El Destructo Ltd album “Cumbre Vieja” is complete. The man who truly is el destructo, Ed Repard, is performing his first shows in over a year with a new band line up consisting of members from The Priests, The Moviees and The Purrs called The White Rose. The show will be at The Spy Bar. Ed Destructo will also be playing an acoustic set with some guest musicians. CMI will be pressing a limited pre-release of 50 CD’s for this event (First come first serve).
Ed will be making a radio appearance on music critic Frank De Blase’s Radio show “The Sunday Night Shake Down” on 98.9 The Buzz. It’s the top link in our “links” column if
you want more information. We will be playing tracks off the album and shootin the shit. Franks show is always great anyway so be sure to tune in and check that out. “Cumbre Vieja” will be officially released next month so if you don’t get a copy at the show check back here by the end of December and you can purchase it through us. It will be a little longer before you will see it through your traditional internet retailers.

Butch Barnette is a departure from what you may be used to seeing from CMI (Cash Mattock Inc) thus far. This deal enforces our mission of promoting/producing good music and not sticking to just one genre.
Butch is an amazing muscian. His skill not only comes from a technical place, also comes from his soul. He sounds just as good by himself on stage as he sounds with a full band. It is very important to him to have just as much if not more of an impact live as he
does recorded, and we think he does just that. Armed with only his guitar and harmonica he creates a sound that he simply describes as 'folk-n-blues', but when you hear it you begin to understand that it is much more than that. His timeless sound opens a window into his mind for the listener to peer through. The lyrics, never short of wit, can stand on their own; meandering between humorous satire and seriously dramatic. He's already been here in Rochester to start work on his first release with CMI (Cash Mattock Inc), and after the recording sessions we realized that we had something very special. Cash Mattock made it into the “International Songwriting Competition” semi-finals for the song “Indecision”. This is great just by itself. ISC received almost 15,000 entries from 80 countries. I haven’t counted but the list of semi-finalists is in the low hundreds. Unfortunately Cash didn’t make it into the finalists. There’s always next year I guess. If you want to see the list of semi-finalists or if you just want to see what the hell I’m talking about then click on the ISC link. We're almost done with the website revamp. What’s been going on at CMI Records? (Cash Mattock Inc)
We know that we haven’t posted any new news in a while but there is a reason… WE HAVE BEEN BUSY AS HELL!!!! By February we will be updating our website to accommodate all the awesome things we are doing now.
We can’t believe it has been a year since we started but it definitely shows. We have to thank all of our counter parts inside and outside CMI (Cash Mattock Inc) for their contributions and hard work. There has been some ups & downs but we have overall have moved in a positive direction and we've set our selves up for a very exciting year in 2006 and in 2007!
During this time we will be releasing five albums. The Moviees (pictured above) will be releasing their second album under CMI (Cash Mattock Inc). I repeat… THE MOVIEES WILL HAVE A NEW ALBUM COMING OUT SOON!!!!! Slur Blown’s album will be coming out very soon and it’s sounds insane. El Destructo LTD will have their debut release. The Lovematics will be having their first international release under the CMI (Cash Mattock Inc) banner. Cash Mattock will release his next creation an EP that will poise himself for the making of his CD/DVD of “Sexy 21st Century Sleaze” a full-length movie that will be played out in real time with the music. The material off the EP is the missing links in the movies time line. This will be a limited release with its main focus towards promotion so if you want a copy you better let us know as soon as possible. He is also working on a new band line up. There will be detailed stories posted about these releases and more exciting things have planed so stay tuned.
